Concept

Two uniforms, one body

An office suit and a sports kit are both uniforms. One is about control, the other about effort. This collection crosses them: pinstripe tailoring cut like a basketball vest, a jersey dress that ruches like it's out of breath, a balloon skirt that sits between a trouser and a gym bag. Power, but soft.

Research / inspiration

Street

I don't start in the studio. I start on the tram, at the market, in the gym hall, looking at how real people wear a blazer or a football shirt.

The everyday uniform is my research.

Someone who wears a coat that's a size too big, a jersey over a work shirt, or socks pulled up over trousers is already designing. I photograph it, then try to work out why it works.
